Although we gave Anelia Marais such short notice of our visit, everything was more than perfect when we arrived. She even arranged and booked a day tour at SALT as well as our night star gazing tour also at SALT, so when we arrived after 12:00am, we could just ENJOY 😉
Here are some pics of the cottage, the garden and some of the little special things that just made us feel so special and at home.
In every room in our cottage there were freshly picked flowers and or blossoms 🙂 We were also surprised with a freshly baked, still warm home made bread waiting for us, cold juice in the fridge as well as butter ,2 little jars of jam, and fresh milk. All this in a self catering cottage was just such a pleasure.
Even lovely Sherry….
Everywhere outside in our cottage garden, as well as in town, were just flowers, flowers and everywhere you looked it was bursting with colour.
Except for maybe Springbok, Sutherland was the most colourful town by far this year!
Check out the Bus stop hours 🙂
We walked through town, popped in at some of the interesting shops, bought some gift for the kids, oh and ……. Louis bought up ALL the shortbread, fudge and crunchy cookies in town 🙂
Anelia invited us for supper at their restaurant that night just before our 19:00 pm appointment at SALT.
Inside was a cosy fire and most wonderful decor.
We both had their speciality, Karoo Lamb Shanks, the best we have EVER tasted, highly recommended!!
Every thing in Sutherland just WOWWWW’ed us so far…….. and even more was on the way….
