Mauritius Day 1

Day 1 is actually day1 and 2 combined since we flew out of OR Tambo on Thursday afternoon and only arrived late Thursday evening.

We all had the privilege to sit in the cockpit on take-off and landing. Thanks for the privilege Patrick, it was awesome. Unfortunately, we were asked not to post the pictures of the cockpit. But here is the birdie that took us to island life.

After having a good nights rest in a very hot and sticky Mauritius we had to hit the beach early.

We were met by a red sea instead of a blue one, apparently this happens when the corals spawn or something and does not happen often.

A picture of Anika and Patricks house and the pool we would spend quite a bit of time in.

It was time to explore the stunning beaches properly.

Carli and Tertius(If you look carefully-zoom a lot- you could still see Tertius’s Mo).

Nice peaks on the mountain ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anika (changing colour to a more local Mauritian colour) on a SUP bord.

Patrick-the-sea-star-bond-soutie-Peggs.

Carli trying her hand at the standup paddling bord.

The whole family having our own private beach ๐Ÿ˜‰

The water is just soooooo pretty and blue and there is a photograph to be taken every way you turn your head.

We were in for a surprise at sunset but I will make a different post for that.
