With a sad heart we left Sesriem and Sossusvlei for the border crossing at Mata Mata.
We were not sure about what time the gate will close and stopped seldom to take pictures, even though there were quite a few places pictures could be taken.
We arrived at the gate at 15:40 to hear that the gate closed at 15:30 😦
Fortunately there was a lodge 5km back where we spent a wonderful evening.
What can be said that have not been said before? Our (too short) visit this time once again did not disappoint in all our stunning sightings.
We have to thank Louis and Valmai for spottings me and Charmain would have missed.
Please humour me for posting so many wildlife pictures. I just could not leave any of these out. I must also confess that some of the best ones were taken by Charmain and I cant take credit for all the nice pictures.
While spending some time at one of the few places you are allowed to get out of your car this fellow strolled through and said Hi 😉
It was quite funny to see a german mother grab her kid and lock herself up in their rented bakkie, refusing to get out even after the Hyena left.
We were fortunate to see quite a few Cheetahs in the 2 days we visited the park, but like our previous visit the lions were scarce and this means we will have to go back.
I will post the last of the Kgalagadi photos in Part 2 since I dont want the email to be too big for those that subscribed to our website.
